Background: I grew up in Charleston and can't think of a better place to live. I graduated from The College of Charleston with a degree in biology and then went to the University of Alabama Medical Center where I obtained my optometry degree. I returned to Charleston and have practiced here ever since. I love practicing and living on the island.

Interests: I have always had a passion for automobiles, particularly antique cars. I spend a lot of time tinkering with a couple of old cars I have from the 50's and 60's. Quiet, personal time with my family joyfully reminds me what life is really about.

Thoughts on Coastal Eye Care: Never did I dream that I would have such a great practice. The staff is tremendous in the way they work together and care for our patients while having fun at the same time. I have gotten to know so many people who I now consider friends as well as patients. I am grateful for the rewards that have come from running a well-paced, caring and efficient office.

Background: I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated the College of Charleston for 4 of the best years of my life. I next graduated with clinical honors from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. I am glad to be back in Charleston and excited about my practice.

Interests: On the weekends I enjoy sailing and surfing with my wife and friends.  I was a member of the College of Charleston’s varsity sailing team for four years and still try to get on the water as much as possible. 

Thoughts on Coastal Eye Care: Coastal Eye Care is like no other practice in which I worked and trained.  Attention to detail and a teamwork oriented environment provide the best patient care.  I enjoy seeing patients in a non-hurried environment where I can provide each patient with the care and attention they deserve.

Background: I grew up in a small town called Chattahoochee. This is near Tallahassee, Florida. I graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. I have worked in the eye care and optical field since 1987.

Interests: I have a real passion for cooking. I like to watch cooking shows and try new recipes. It’s my way of being creative. My favorite times are spent with our son just watching him grow, which he does faster and faster each day.

Thoughts on Coastal Eye Care: Starting and building Coastal Eye Care has helped me realize a tremendous goal. I initially worked in a commercial optical where the emphasis was on "pressure" selling. Coastal Eye Care is structured so differently. None of the staff works on commission. Our goal is to educate our patients on their options and help them make proper decisions regarding their glasses and contact lens purchases.

Background: I was raised on James Island.  I have enjoyed working in vision care for the past four years.

Interests: I love spending time with my daughter, family and friends.  The very best of times are spent with my feet in the sand at Folly Beach.

Background: I was born and raised in Charleston. I have worked in the Eye Care field since 1993.

Interests: I love the outdoors, horseback riding, hunting and spending time with all my farm animals.  I have a 19 year old son, Daniel, and spend lots of time with him doing the things mentioned above.

Background: I have lived in the Charleston area for eight years. I am a graduate from James Island High School. I have been in the optical field since 2000.

Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, mainly on the weekends!
